A few words on some of my friends from Beachwood. If you're not here, and think you should be, maybe its because you never gave me one of your senior pictures, or other similar headshots.

Cynthia aka Cindy aka 'xing'Chiang

Cindy is my fashionable, social, and reallly involved younger sister. I'm really proud of all the work she's done in college. She's currently in U Cincinnati's 9 year Engineering and Medical School program.

Winston Chiang
My younger brother, younger by 6 years. He was the bane of my life before I left for college, but we get along alright now. He's a smart boy, but sometimes too smart for his own good. He could use a better work ethic, and learn not to be so stingy with money. He graduated from BHS in June 2002 and is now at UC Berekely.

Samantha Chin Stephanie Chin Cassandra Chin
I've known the Chins since before my brain knew how to form memories. Samantha, Stephanie, and Cassandra are my three god sisters. I also have a godbrother, Christopher (not pictured). Samantha is my age, Steph is Cindy's age and Chris is Winston's age, so our two families played together a lot. Samantha and I were great friends when we were young, and still keep in touch. The four of us (Cindy, Sam, Steph, and I) had a lot of fun clubbing. I still remember when we got in on fake ID's when Steph was still only 14! We didn't do anything but dance though.

Mimi Huang

Mimi and I have been best friends since her family moved to Beachwood in 6th grade. We're so close that I feel like we're sisters. Its esepcially funny that she and my bloodsister, Cindy, were both born on June 1, 2001, which makes them Gemnis! We did a million things together: yearbook, photography, JCWA, Ecology Club. Mimi went to Carnegie Mellon for college, during which she studied in Tawian and Japan. She is now in Ecuador doing a masters. Mimi and I both love to travel, but she's definatley doing a lot more abroad trips than I am.

Jean Dietz

Jean and I were good friends from when she came to Beachwood in 5th grade. When we left for college, we sorta fell out of touch. Jean went to the Naval Academy where the ratio of men to women is even worse than Caltech, and she probabley had more demands on her time than I did at Caltech. I'm really proud of her that she made it. I just wish I knew how to contact her! She's suppose to be based in San Diego at the moment, last I knew anyway.

Ayelet Weissman

Ayelet is pretty quiet, but she's a great letter writer. I think I got more letters from her during college than all my other friends combined! She actually still writes with a pen and paper, unlike the rest of us email junkies (though she does have email too). After graduating BHS, she went to study in Isreal for a year before going to Brandeis. Now she's in NYsunnybrook getting a masters in biology. Her graduation is set for December 2003.

Dana Hercsburg
Dana always had her own way of doing things. Very different and original. Though I wasn't especially close to her, she was best friends with Jean and good friends with Mimi. I hear she's now at University of Pennsylvania studying Arabic.

Sonya Stecklar

Sonya was always a kool kat. She was really into Ecology Club and hiking. She went on to study at Northwestern to major in French, but now is back in Cleveland taking classes at CSU to change career directions to something involving the environment.

Revital aka Talli Gorodeski
Talli was a cool friend and its great to chat with her. We use to hang out and watch videos. Talli went to Brandeis, and then to Tufts for medical school. She's not a resident in OB/GYN at NYU.

Jeff Brand, Jacob, Ben Feinburg, Ravi Pina, Ron Matusak
These were my Tech Crew buddies. We spent too many hours together the week of White & Gold, but I look back at those days with fond memories. Jeff went to Rochester Tech, Jacob to Art school to do computer animation, and Ben to Wright State. Ravi was taking classes at Ursalin for a while, and working for a while. He was always an alternative type of guy. I had a crush on him in the seventh grade which I don't think he ever knew about. He and Aaron were best friends when Aaron and I were together. Ron, I think, is still at Beachwood, although I hope he's had a promotion. He is one of the coolest adults I know and I value his advice and friendship during those tough teenage years.
I went to Ben's prom.

Jenny Glazer
Jenny is my ultra cool, ultra libral friend who did things like volunteer in Tati for her summer vacation. We use to hang out at Jenny's house a lot. It's too bad she was almost always away during any vacation but I'm glad I got to know her during the school year. I believe Jenny went to Oberlin for college. Last I heard from her, I got a post card saying she was in China.

Louise Woodfin
Louise was at BHS only for a year (I'm not sure it was even a whole year) but we became good friends during that time. She came with us to Homecoming. I visited her in England over the summer and we had a blast. Unfortunatley, we've lot touch. (Her email address bounces and I never got a new one from her.) Last we talked, she wanted to be an animator for Disney. Whatever it is she wants to do, I hope she acheives it.

Robin Marling

Robin and I were best friends when we were young. I visited her in Vienna when her father took the family there for a year during Robin's freshman year of high school. We wrote letters often that year and I had a lot of fun when I went to Vienna. I'm not sure what happened when she came back, but something had changed and never fell back into place. From then on, I was only Robin's friend when she needed something from me, whether it was to distract her from her homecoming date, have friends to share a limo at Prom, or crash with in LA. She and Jean became good friends when they both decided to go to the Naval Academy. I believe she's stationed in Japan, but I've heard from her only once or so in the last year.

Seth Brodsky

Seth and I enjoyed a year of being really close friends. I miss that. There's a lot more that could be said, but I think I'll leave it there.

Ron Lazebnik
Ron and Seth were best friends, and I met Seth through Ron. Ron went to Case Western Reserve University for college, staying close to home. Last I hear, he's in Harvard law school. His brother Roee also went there, and is still there at CWRU's MSTP program.

Aaron Stanley
Aaron was my best guy friend in middle school and for the first two years of high school. He later became my first love. I'm still not sure what happened to 'us' and I still think about it from time to time. I still hear from him every once in a while. He went to NYU and is still in New York City.

Greg Kahn
Greg has always been a great person to talk to. He went to Ohio State where he graduated in three years before going to Boalt Hall School of Law (Berkeley). He graduated law school in 2003 and took is bar and accepted a job in New York City.

Michael aka Mike Krause

Mike was my first boyfriend. Which actually "met" on his BBS, back then called The Exchange Net. He later turned it into a multimillion dollar ISP. After making enough money to live on for life (if you invest well and are wise about it anyway), Mike went a different direction and decided to develop his music talent. He's now studying music and Yale and is engaged to Ines, another music major. They were among the few friends from Cleveland that flew out to my wedding. He married Ines in May 2003.

Mineh Ishida
That was a crazy month.

Mark Samols
Mark and I got to know each other on coventry. We use to play freesbe in the park. We dated for a summer and had a good time together. He went to Swarthmore for undergrad and is now at CWRU in the MSTP program.

Aaron Tettleman
Aaron T. was on the swimming team and lived right behind Jean. We had a lot of fun talking together senior year and he cheered me up several times. He went to Unversity of Rochester. There are some rumors that he is working toward becoming a Rabbi.

Kahlil Huff
Kahlil hung around in the yearbook room and went on Ecology Club hikes. We had some nice long conversations together. (Isn't he a hottie?! Click on the picture to get a full resolution look!)

Katie Simpson
Katie and I have been friends since Kindergarden. I see her off an on. She went to Unviersity of Akron and wanted to be a teacher last I talked to har. I hear she's getting married, or maybe already is

Jeanette "Nette" Wagner
Nette was more into horses than I was. She's become a sort of a nomad, but generally sticks to Ohio. As of September 2003, she's living in Cincinnati, Ohio and going to University of Cincinnati for nursing.

Sarah Levy Jessica Gluchov Kristin Bolobrok Mara Leventhal
Sarah was a quiet girl who use to sit with us at lunch. She was always friendly and I hope she's doing well. Jessican hung out with me at times, mostly in the art room during high school. I was friends with her brother too, Lewis, who played in the orchestra with me in middle School. Kristin was one of the school's acting talents. I haven't talked to her since high school but she was a cool person. Mara was a talented writer. She lived on my block in Beachwood and we were friends for a while in fourth grade. We haven't really kept in touch, but I wish her well.

Steve Ozan and Ian Sutcliff
Friends from karate. I beat on them a lot, they took it well. :) We had a good time.
